A Not So Turkish Life

Baby steps

For no real reason other than because, we made the short drive to our house the other day, walked in and up the stairs, trying to envisage the computer sketches we’re making these days playing out in 3D in this space. Outside of the house, standing at the cornerstones of the land we’ll build a world in, we stood back as M played in the warm winters’ sun, watching him revel in the splashing of stones into a puddle he’d immediately found. We laughed as he jumped, both feet first, into the puddle which was deeper than it looked, as the water turned to mud as it set on his boots, as his jeans began to squelch under its weight: A larger porch, we noted as we left.

Six months ago, this scenario now was not on the cards yet it’s this full throttle time travel which has sped us along, in every aspect and space of our lives in all of our journey thus far. It seems appropriate now then that we sit back a while, take a breathe, catch some time to think while the future unfolds. Building houses we’ll be practicing anyway.
